Senator John Thune Is Pro Life And Doing Something About The Unborn! Abortion South Dakota

Way To Go Senator John Thune!!!

Senator John Thune Writes..."I recently became an original cosponsor of the Life at Conception Act (S. 3111), which was introduced in the United States Senate on June 11, 2008, and was referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee. This bill would declare unborn children to be "persons" under the 14th Amendment to the Constitution, defining when life begins legislatively. The U.S. Supreme Court refused to resolve this question in its 1973 decision Roe v. Wade, and this bill would effectively dismantle Roe's vague legal and constitutional rationale. In Roe's majority opinion, the court noted that "if this suggestion of personhood is established, the appellant's case [i.e., "Roe"], of course, collapses, for the fetus' right to life is then guaranteed specifically by the [14th] Amendment."

"Ban Will Lead To Lawsuit" - Abortion South Dakota

Argus Leader Article... Aaron O. Curns Writes..."At a time when South Dakota's families are feeling pocketbook pangs at the gas station and in the grocery store, why should taxpayers be further burdened by the price of endless legal fees?
If you are the least bit undecided on the ban, just remember that a "yes" vote isn't just about checking a box; it's also about your checkbook."

DAKOTA VALUES RESPONDS IN THE ARGUS..."Here We Go Again With "This May Cost Us Some Money" If We Limit Abortion In The State Of South Dakota. Heaven Forbid That We May Have To Defend The Law In Court! Why Not Step Up To The Plate And Defend The Unborn?!?!?!?! And If The Wording In The Initiative Is Shocking To You, Please Don't Read Today's Argus Leader Article On The Harrisburg School Story Which Reports That 10 Million Dollars Was Left Out Of The Original Equation! This May Put You Over The Edge!"

A DAKOTA VALUES REMINDER... They Asked For The "Exceptions" And Now The Exceptions Are In Initiative 11. No Surprise That They "Take Exception With The Exceptions!" Now Those Who Favor Abortion On Demand Are Putting The Old "This May Cost Us A Lot Of Money" ("It's Also About Your Checkbook") Reason For Opposing Initiative 11. South Dakotans Don't Be Fooled By Such Vain Arguments!

Colorado's Public Restroom Legislation Senate Bill 200 Belongs In The Toilet!!!

From Richard Nixon's "Hatchet Man" To "Born Again" Christian Believer, Chuck Colson Comments on the new BATHROOM LAW TO HELP THE TRANSGENDERED. "Last week, Colorado’s legislature passed—and Gov. Bill Ritter signed—a law that will open all public accommodations, including public restrooms, to anyone who wants to use them. That means men may use a women’s restroom, and women may enter men’s rooms. The rationale for Senate Bill 200 is that transgenders should be able to use the restroom they feel most comfortable using. Apparently, it is not important if others feel uncomfortable having their privacy violated every time they use public facilities.
The lack of privacy is not the only problem. Nobody is going to ask a man if he is trangendered before allowing him into the ladies’ room. This means any man—including a child molester—could simply follow a little girl into the privacy of a public restroom. And, if a man decided to expose himself to a young girl there, who is she going to complain to? After all, restrooms, by definition, are places where one exposes the private parts of one’s body."

Abortion South Dakota...They're At It Again!

Dave L. Wegner's Editorial..."Abortion Ban Will Fail To Deliver On Promises" As Printed On Thursday, June 5th, In The Sioux Falls Argus Leader, Abandons Fact And Truth!
Dakota Values' Answer In The Argus Leader Provides A Rebuttal And Delivers Fact And Truth!
"Dave L Wegner's article on abortion is misleading to say it mildly. Truth and fact are forgotten. For example the truth is, 1. government law and policy have stopped abortion in many instances. Also the fact is that the numbers of back alley abortions prior to Roe V Wade were inflated to support the so call need for safe abortions. 2. "Doctor's minds being clouded..." The fact is that in 2006 in South Dakota hundreds of doctors publicly supported ending abortion in our state. 3. Be reminded that the 2008 Initiative (11) is not the same legislation that was voted on in 2006. The exceptions were asked for and they were added! 4. "LIFE" is the reason that the Catholic Church is opposed to abortion. Augustine was a proponent of life and would be aghast with the thought of abortion. 5. The Bible firmly and loudly supports that life exists in the womb... Psalm 139, Jeremiah 1:5. Please read the punishment for harming life in the womb, . Exodus 21:22-25. Truth & facts!"
