Somebody's Prayers Are Getting Answered
The anti-choicers over at Vote Yes for A Time Machine Back to 2006 will be sorry to hear that despite their prayers that the pro-choice movement will be thrown into confusion, we actually appear to be getting more organized. Huzzah! Not only is the SD Campaign for Healthy Families kicking of their campaign, long-time pro-choice activist organization NARAL Pro-Choice South Dakota just launched a fancy new website with lots of great information and resources. So sorry, Vote Yes for Iranian Laws, I guess God was a little more receptive to my prayer than you guys while away the months leading up to the election posting prayer blogs while we mount a strategic campaign than to yours.

Could they just not stand the heat? Planned Parenthood gets out of the kitchen
By PP at the SDWC on Jul 29, 2008 in Uncategorized
Since I know that this is easily the most volatile topic that’s mentioned at the SDWC, I’ll throw the grenade in and stand back…
Planned Parenthood, rather than comply with a state law regarding informing patients about the consequences of abortion, has apparently shuttered their doors:
Planned Parenthood closed its doors after their abortionists, who are flown in from other states, refused to work under the new law that went into effect last Friday. The law orders abortionists to inform patients of the humanity of their babies and that the procedure could affect their mental health two hours before the abortion is set to be performed. The law also provides that abortionists can be sued if they do not comply.
and…
It remains unclear if the Planned Parenthood office has permanently ceased the practice of abortion. However, several women who were scheduled for abortions this week went to a pro-life center instead, where some have reportedly changed their minds about having abortions..
Is Planned Parenthood crying uncle, and getting out of the kitchen because they can’t stand the heat? Or is this simply a strategic withdrawal while they consider their options (or a friendlier legal venue)?
